The street style dahi bhalay are always the most famous choice specially in hot summer when we crave for something cold and sweet. This Dahi bhala recipe will be an awesome choice since its super easy and made at home hygienically. You can fry and freeze the Bhalaas for later use as well.
Soak daal mash in enough water for blending it in the same water later.
Add soaked daal, salt and baking powder in a blender and blend until a thick paste is formed.
Fry Bhalas in deep oil and take it out.
Soak Bhalas in luke warm water for 5 minutes and then squeeze before assembling it in the yogurt.
For yougurt I have used Nestle sweet, whip it and add roasted and grinded cumin seeds, salt, little sugar and red chili flakes. Mix and just taste.
For chutney, just cook all ingredients on low heat for 10 min until thick syrupy consistency.
Assemble Bhallas first, yogurt then put some chutney on top.
Roast cumin seeds and grind, put the powder on top along with chili flakes.
