In a large skillet, heat oil and saute crushed garlic. Add mince and saute for a while. Now add 1 tsp salt 1tsp black pepper , 1 tsp crushed red chillies saute for a min. Add chopped onions and cover to cook on low heat until fully cooked through (keep breaking it up with a wooden spoon as it cooks) you can add a little water if required. then at the last few seconds of cooking, stir in the green part of spring onions. Fry till there is no water in the mince. It should be dry. Now remove from the heat.
Add the bite size bread pieces into the bottom of your casserole dish, then sprinkle over the mince mixture and set aside.
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper and 1 cup of cheese, pour mixture evenly over top of the bread and top it with the remaining cheese.
Wrap the casserole with plastic wrap and pop it in the fridge for a couple of hours or for the best result keep it overnight.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and bake the casserole for about an hour or until puffed and golden brown. Do start checking after half an hour.
It taste awesome with ketchup so you can either drizzle it on the top before serving it or you can keep a ketchup bottle with it.
Serve hot.
