This Bohri Laosi is Bohri style Gur walay chawal made with Gur (Jaggery) which is easily available in any store. In other counties you can also easily find it in Desi stores with the namae Jaggery. This a simple version of Gur walay chawal served with Daal and Cachumbar salad traditionally.
In a bowl add 1 cup water and jaggery and leave it till it desolves to make chashni, 30-45 minutes.
Boil water in a large pot and add rice in it. Add salt and cook till it gets tender but not too soft. Starin the reminaing water and put the rice back again in the pot.
When rice are almost cooked, Pour jaggery chashni over rice with cardemom and cook on low heat, give Dum till fully cooked.
To Give Dum cover the lid with a cloth and put it over the stove and leave it there on lowest flame for 10-15 minutes.
Eat with Daal and Cachumber
