This briaded Nutella star bread is one of the most tempting and beautiful dessert. You can make it very easily at home with minimum ingredients and can serve it with tea.
Combine all the above mentioned ingredients in a bowl and make a soft dough by using warm milk. It should be soft but not sticky.
Transfer it into a greased bowl and let it rise for one hour. It will be almost double after one hour.
Place the dough on a lightly floured surface. Remember to keep some flour for sprinkling at hand.
Bang and knead the dough on the counter for around 1 minute, then divide the dough into 4 equal parts.
Roll the first of the four parts in to a circle. It should be 0,1 inch thick.
Take a cake tin and mark it off on the first layer. Cut it in the round shape.
Spread a thin layer of Nutella on it with a wooden spoon.
Repeat the procedure with the second layer.
Place the second layer on the first one and apply Nutella on the top.
Now do the same procedure with all the 4 layers. Don’t apply Nutella on the top of the last layer.
Use a small glass or coffee cup to mark the center of the cake. Divide the cake into quarter – start cutting from the market circle. Remember to leave the center intact.
Then divide every quarter into four equal parts. At the end divide it into 16 equal parts.
Take two parts of the cake in both hands and delicately twist them into opposite direction twice. Repeat with all pair to form eight armed star.Twist the ends of each arm underneath to create a round shape
Brush surface of the egg white before putting it into the oven.
Bake at 180 C / 350 F , for around 15 to 20 minutes. For the first 10 to 15 minutes use the lower heater and when it’s cooked use the grill for 5 to 10 minutes to give it a nice golden shade.
Serve warm with tea or coffee.
