A simple and easy Moist Vanilla Sponge Cake recipe that you can use as a base for any cake with cream. You can also serve it as it is with tea or as a snack for packing in kids lunchbox.
Beat sugar , oil , soften butter and vanilla essence till well combined. Avoid over beating.
Add eggs one by one and beat till combined.
Add yogurt and beat.
Sift baking powder , flour and salt together.
Add the dry ingredients and milk in to the batter in batches. Keep Beating on slow speed till everything is mixed together.
Scrap the sides in between the process so everything incorporates well.
Grease and Line 8 inches pan with parchment paper.
Pour the batter in the baking pan. Tap it on the counter so it gets even from all sides.
Place it in the pre-heated oven on 180 Celsius (350f) for 30 to 40 minutes till the tooth pick inserted comes out clean.
Serve hot with tea or apply your favorite frosting on it.
